We always rant when companies wrong us.

We should praise companies who exceed expectation. So today, I praise Mobile Phone Exchange.

Yesterday, I popped my HTC Desire into the post.

Today, I received £145 into my bank account.

The only way these guys could have improved the service was to personally collect the phone from me, or give me £500 for it or something.

Thumbs up!

Thats not bad for a desire.

Its a shame other phones arent so well prices. My old desire HD is priced at £135 when i sold it on ebay for £265

It was a bit odd, I got a price of £130. I clicked sell. A few days later I checked again and it was £145, so I resubmitted. Then a few days later its £129

Good to hear.

I've literally just cancelled my O2 contract 12 months in to a 24 month (i'm sick of not having signal 90% of the time) with CPW on my HTC Desire and taken out a new contract for £30pm T-Mobile 18 month contract, with a Samsung Galaxy S2, 600mins, unlimited texts and unlimited internet.

The grand total for the switch? £5 (once i sell my Desire)

HINT: For anyone with CPW on O2 and wanting to get out of your contract, after 9 months you can downgrade your contract. Today i told them i wanted to disconnect and pay off the remaining 12 months of my 24 month contract. I was paying £30pm and they told me it would be £390 to buy out the contract. So i told them i had read that i could downgrade the contract to the lowest monthly fee (£10pm) and that this should allow me to buy out the contract at the reduced £10pm rate. The guy went off to check if i could do this, came back, said it was fine and that it meant that i could now buy out the contract for £130. Which i gladly did. :)

Fonebank were fine for me when I sold my Nokia 5800. I double boxed it and wrote the numbers required on both boxes and made sure the phone was fully charged, all went a long smoothly.

Only disadvantage I can think of is that they paid out by cheque rather than straight deposit into your account, this may have changed though.

I used http://www.dough-dough.co.uk/ to get rid of both of our iPhone 3gs (one 16gb and one 32gb). The 16gb one had the case splitting but was fully working. Anyway about three days later a cheque arrived in the post for the full amount quoted (£315). I thought they would try and knock the price right down and was really supprised.

I went with dough-dough because they guarantee to give more money than other companies. At the time they didn't need to price match they were already offering more than the others.

Just had a look at how much I'd get for my Desire HD... just £165  It was £450 new 9 months ago had I paid up front for it. One thing you have to say about Apple phones is they hold there value better than everyone else's

I can get £90 for my HTC HD2. I only bought it for £130 or something 18 months ago!

They offered the most money.
Fair enough, I thought you might have had some reviews or something. This one is a positive review so I might just flog my old one considering my new one is a million times better.

I was going to use these guys to sell my Desire but the amount of complaints I read about them put me off, so it ended up on ebay, got £200 for it.

Was it just the phone they took or everything included? I sold my Desire only (no box, charger etc required) for £147 at Mizumo before I bought the SGSII

I recycled my replacement Nokia N97 with Sainsburys.
They offered me £150 for the phone, ok great, only paid me £120 after they received the phone, £120 was due to wear and tear.
It was a new phone, unused, all I had done was just take it out of the box.
Never use them again.
Glad you got a good deal Fox, might try them in the future.

Prices really seem to have dropped for these, I got £130 for my HD2 from Moneyforyourphone less than 2 months ago...I guess the market has got flooded as people reach the end of their 18month contracts.
