Just picked up an old ATC210 Coolermaster case for a bargain price of just £15 in as new condition. Been after a project for a while now just wondering if anyone has modded one of these before or has any suggestion how to improve the cooling over the stock 2 x 80mm fans.

I currently use an Antec P182 SE but eventually plan on moving my kit into the CM.

Same, but with a 201

how's the cooling?

my kit E6750 @3.2, 8800GT 3 HDD's

????Where is your optical drive?????

Q9650 @3.6 cpus maxed out 100% @ 60°C
Also a GTX260 in the same loop at 100% @ 70°C
3 HDD's same as you.
Redwing fans on radiator and in the 80mm spots

Oh and I just have a USB drive I plugin when I need it.

problem i see is the 210 doesnt have any front fan ports, was thinking of trying to fit 2 x 120mm or 2 x 92mm in the floor and 2 x 120mm in the roof, do you think that would work,

I put one 120mm in the top, for the Corsair H20, and one 120mm in one of the side panels of my 110.

I swapped out the 2 x 80mm fans at the front, and the 1 x 80mm exhaust fans for some quitier hiper ones.

mine was from bay still waiting for it, just hope it has all the motherboard standoff's as i believe you cannot get hold of them anymore.

condition is meant to be excellent will see.......

still want to mod it an improve cooling, anyone recommend a good laser cutters? What do they require hand drawn sketch or CAD file?

I had mine laser cut, above, coolermaster logo + ATCS, + i have quite a few spare stand offs ;)

PM me for details.

ps. which cases did you two buy?

Trying to decide on the cooling for this case. My biggest concern is the cooling of the HDD's as this case has a solid front and no air intake. I could have it milled to create an intake but am unsure if i want to go to these lengths.

I have sort of decided on two 120mm fans in the floor of the case (if they can fit) and two 120mm fans in the roof. For the hard drives i plan on using the Scythe ita hard drive coolers.

Would i be better off with 2 120mm in the base or side panel?

Ok so it arrived and its everything i had hoped for :D great build quality and looks.

So impressed was i, i couldnt bring myself to hack it to pieces. (hope i wont regret this) instead i ordered a Sythe Karma Bay Plus to act as a 120mm intake up front and cut 3 x 92mm holes in the base (at least they are not visible) to install low profile intake fans. One under the hard drives and the others blowing straight across the mobo.

For a ten year old case its a goodie, i removed all traces of the perspex door too leaving the front in glorious alloy.

Thanks Wedge :) Sweet job you've done on your ATCS there!

thepominlaw: Be sure to show us pics! Does your case have a top vent? You might wanna remove the dust filter if it does and replace that and the rear 80mm with better CFM fans if you're gonna be pulling in air through 3 x 92mm + 1 x 120mm - good luck with it!

Deadman: Love your case! What model is that?
