Modern Warfare 2 "Resurgence" DLC, $15 again..

I paid £24 for MW2 (pre-ordered it) and £10.99 for stimulus so that's £35. I've spent 54 hours playing the game and will spend many more as I really like it. I don't consider it a bad deal :)

To be fair I bought TF2 a couple of years ago, it's had quite a lot of major updates and I must have 1000+ hours on it. The best thing is, in total it cost me around £10 ;)

Yea 120+ hours on TF2 with many free content updates and additions all came part of orange box so probably £7

Now that is value, MW2 is a rip-off in so many ways

How the hell did you get a launch copy of MW2 for that, I paid double that :p

Most online shops were doing it for that price. My cancelled pre-order was anyway.

Eventually, all the other games companies will see how much money IW/Activison are making from the sheep that keep buying this crap and do the same. So in my eyes, you buy this and you will be ruining PC Gaming for the rest of us :p

Is this going to be another case of a mappack where they haven't even bothered to implement properly?

Wasn't the other implemented in such a way that you couldn't choose what map you wanted, or what mode you wanted to play it on? Seriously its just unbelievable how many utter ****ing retards there are out that actually pay an extortionate price for such rubbish.

I paid £0 for Quake Live, I've spent 500+ hours playing it and will spend many more as I really like it, I don't consider it a bad deal :)

See how silly such an argument is?

for only about ~50 hours in this amount of time, I wouldn't pay more than £10 total ;)

~500 hours in l4d2 for £20, much better deal and we got DLC for free

The problem is, when the other publishers see that activision are making a ton of money off these fools, it will become the norm for pc games as it has done on the consoles.

So all you people in this thread that said they would buy this tosh, its your muppetry thats dooming the pc gaming as we know it.

what they need to do is stop messing about like morons, stop re-releasing COD4 content on MW2 and release a decent addon, something like another campaign or if its multiplayer, at least make it something substancial like maps, guns, camos, equipment, etc. rather than just a bunch of maps! game developers make me sick these days, i mean fair enough there in it to make money but releasing the same game over and over is just wrong, i would personally feel bad about doing this if i was team leader of a game studio. am i the only one who wants games to progress rather than stagnate?

been a long time lover of RTS games as well, but even those are heading down the same crappy route, becoming needlessly simple and moronified. get sick to death of hearing about these 'brilliant' gamers on these replays on supreme commander 2 for example, winning by doing the same thing everytime. :(

And what does it add?

this time around

its as bad as EA charging like £10 or something like that for burnout ultimate, which only adds a few cars at a time

It kinda makes you respect Square/Enix (whatever you wanna call them). Final Fantasy I was released in 1987 (wiki) and its taken them over 20 years to reach FF13 and each time they've created a gigantic world, storyline, lore and messed with gameplay mechanics constantly.
Whereas Call of Duty 1 was released in 2003 and while it has had some changes, the latest 2 churned out by IW were nigh identical.

And yes RTS is going rapidly downhill.

i agree completely, as much as i dislike final fantasy (not my thing personally, more of a science fiction person) they have done just that, huge worlds, huge games, tons of gameplay time. games like that are a dying breed unfortunately :(
