Modifying OcUK

Looks quite Deviant Art-ey. Like the layout, not too keen on the green. Bit too weak for my liking, needs a stronger/darker green. :cool:

And is that DA Sonic the Hedgehog lookalike your work or something?

Ok fixed, have updated the style... when defining the width i should have set the height to auto....

No it's an actual deviant image, it's available from their site.... it's the mascot...

I just took the PNG and shrunk it, chopped it, exported it etc...

Wasn't 100% sure on the green myself, but it was intended as a Deviant style, so i just color picked the colours straight from the Deviant website....

I can always work up another style based on this one.....

Oh ok. :) Just don't like that really. Is it attached to every post? That would drive me mad I think.

As a DA style it is very convincing. :)
 
Well it's definately growing on me, but yes it is on every post, due to each post using it's own table and that being the background of said table.

It's 1 line to edit if preferred removed. :) I could do a page background as appose to a per post background, but i'll have to re-organise the transparent areas.

I'm enjoying it right now though, the light green makes for easy reading....

How you liking the tab and search ideas?

p.s. Anyone else noticed the extra characters next to the underboss titles? What's that about? (not related to the style)

Ah i see regarding the titles Marc, i assumed it was an error in the template or something..... :)

Skyboat i'm still working on the style, as i assume you're referring to Deviant style....

Have fixed the yellow and done quite a bit more, i'm slowly replacing images with stylable text, and i'm gonna re-do the quote and code boxes to....

The reason the code box is that colour is due to the background image.... it's too transparent to notice.... you would notice if it were inside a quote.... see here for example....

I'm going to re-write how the code and quote boxes style though, so just bear with me and it'll have a better working solution in the next update.

I guess it's just because of the U is still uppercase that it looks kinda strange...

Still need to work on the code and quote boxes, but i've made a few changes to the style, and i've sorted the style better now, and added some comments into the style so people will have an easier time adjusting it.

More to be done though, as said code and quote boxes still need doing... and also a few minor images, and there's one or two areas in the UserCP where the text needs a color change, other then that, it's all good!!... :) (subject to opinion of course)

Updated Firefox, and I get this when trying to install:

"OcUK But Better 1.0 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.2."

Is there any way around this? :)
 
Mine doesn't seem to be working?

I've added a userContent.css in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile\chrome and pasted your css code in.
I'm using version 3.5.1/2
