modular or non modular

I have a non modular Corsair TX750.

While it is good, it does look like a cable bomb has gone off in the bottom of my case though. :D

If you have the extra pennies and are fussy about htese things they are probably worth it.

It will depend on what your going to use on your system, if your using multiple gpu's and HDD ect which will require some cable then non modular will be ok, but if you want slightly neater case then modular is a option, I use non modular and have no problems.

thats the same case as i have just bought PapaLazaru...as getting together bits for my first build.so just trying to get opinions as best way to go.money is a issue of course but rather get things right the first time and not regret it later. at some point i may go multiple gpus, but was really curious if it was worth the extra money to go modular and have tidy case and better airflow or to save the money and put it towards other parts,

dont think i have ocd but maybe this will confirm i do at some point lol

Using a modular corsair HX850w here, ended up with quite a bit of cable clutter though, mainly due to multiple gpu's and a pcie souncard.

Good choice of case I am loving mine.

I will go modular when I decide I need to. I can't see inside my case and I really have no need at the moment. My temps are cool even with all that cabling lying about. if I bung another 5870 in there I probably will but not till then. ;)

You can get a cheaper modular PSU like the OCZ ones. Fair bit cheaper than the Corsair and pretty good rep.

I got a modular PSU for my first system. Get one!!

1. Better air flow because of less cabling in the way. Even better if you have proper cabling management in your case.

2. If you have a window it looks better-tidier.

3. If you upgrade components in the future you don't have to fight your way through a bunch of cables, or unplug something and get the cable lost within the others.

Hope this helps.
