I've pre-ordered from a certain EA website and already received my Beta code.

Cheers for all the info, can you cancel the order from the EA website (the only place that seems to be giving codes away atm). Do they bill straightaway or wait till despatch(October) giving you time to cancel?

* - Well they charged me straight away but I chose the PC version via download so that maybe why?!?

PC will have dedicated servers won't it? I think I read somewhere it will.

I just preordered, £24.99 at EA store, with £5 off coke zone points, had to pay straight away though, no biggy really as I'm quite sure I would have been buying in october anyway.

Woah just after 1"00 in (in the multiplayer trailer), there's a sniper clip, and it looks like the zoom is adjusting on the scope? the whole image gets magnified except the HUD and the gun, so does that mean adjustable sights for snipers? If so... win!

All dice games on all platforms have always had dedis so I doubt this will be different

^^ +1, hopefully they put more into the console servers this time and run at least a few night-time EU servers so that we don't have to schedule when we play based on lag, BC2 late night sessions got pretty horrific on occasion!

Yes, you can get a code then redeem it for whatever platform you want.

I just ordered it for the pc seeing as im low on bank funds, will cancel the pre-order when im 2-3 days into the beta. If i can't then i'll upgrade to the 360 version as i dont have a PC

There is no "PC" beta code. There's simply a generic Beta code which you redeem against whichever version/platform of the Beta you want to take part in.

Good luck trying to cancel the pre-order if it's from EA Store or Steam.

Nope, ordered from the purple people. Got the confirmation email of my order but no sight of the code yet. Will give them a ring tomorrow if it don't come by then.

Edit: oh crud, seems like they only give the beta code for pc copies if you buy from the EA store. Will have to cancel and upgrade to the 360 version

But I mean will that generic code expire after being used on a 360 i.e. so it can't be used to get the download once on pc and once on xbox, even if they're using the same EA account?

So we can order game for console get the code for the console pre order dont pay immediate with that retailer. get beta access for pc with said code and cancel pre order?

The code you get for pre ordering needs to be put into the offical moh site where you can then redeem it for only 1 platform.

The my plan will work and saves having to pre order from a certain online store that charges immediate

Cancel ps3 order later and buy pc version when required.

Yeah seems to be the case, I reckon they leave that loophole open so they can hit pre-order marks, and hope that people choose to still buy the game even if they originally planned to cancel the pre-order and never play MoH again
