Moisturiser

I need to moisturise my face, neck, arms and hands all the time as I suffer from very dry skin and eczema :(

Why would using moisturiser be gay anyway. Just use it on your face after a shave if you've no other place/reason to use it. It would be gay if you decided to spend the night doing a full makeover, but the 10 seconds of rubbing some cream into your face is hardly going to make you a raving homo is it?

Contrary to common sense and logic, water (especially warm/hot) actually dries out the skin. This is because of additives like chlorine, and the trace mineral for your teeth the government decided to add, and (in my hard water area) calcium bicarbonate and other salts, are flowing down over your body. The water then evapourates leaving all this on your skin, which sponges moisture from your skin.

After shaving, additional to the above, plus the soap drying, the razor (straight razors esp.) removes most of the epidermis, which leaves you looking so fresh and clean and clear, but this will soon dry out and become very taunt and uncomfortable. Essential moisturisation.

I have to use a skin moisturiser as well, i had eczema when i was younger, i still get a few wee tiny dry skin patches on my face if i shave, which i dont do to often, i always keep a beard for at least 4 months, but i get dry skin patches on my nose, hence the use of nivea moisturiser, my job doesnt really help either. Im a painter and decorator and a lot of the paints and equipment i work with tend to dry your skin out as well, particularly my hands, even with the use of barrier creams.

Anyone who says using moisturiser is gay are people who need to make themselves sound more manly, and more than likely use it themselves.

Hello, I'm Retorted and I use moisturiser.

Seriously though, nowt wrong with looking after one of your vital organs. I don't buy into any of those expensive products though. Go grab yourself a 'man-size' tub of £2.99 aqueous cream.
