Mole Removal

Ive got 2 on my chest and 1 on my back...keep meaning to go and ask for them to be removed. They dont bother me at all but they are about 5mm ball shaped ish so could go down the line of i catch them on my clothes and am scared of them going wrong and getting cancer :p

I've had 3-4 moles removed by my local GP on the NHS before all the cut backs.

I have a few more i'd like to get rid of but my Doctor says they cant do it any more.

He numbed the area and then used a laser device to sort of burn them off.

They looked a bit unsightly for a few days until they fell off leaving a round scar which is hardly visible.

I read a thread on another forum simalr to this where the OP used a product called Dermatend which from reading the reviews seems to do the same thing but i cant find said product on a UK site but its basically an extract from the a plant called Bloodroot.

Mods please remove link if this is against the rules, apologies if it is,

Sorry for bump. Got initial consultation on Friday for three on the torso (two on the back, one on the side) which the GP referred to the hospital.

One thing I'm a bit queasy about is the possibility of cauterisation. Is this essential, or can you opt to have the wound stitched? I don't really want to sit there and smell my flesh burning (I gag at the dentist with the smell of burning tooth having a filling), big girls blouse that I am. :)

read Magnolia's 'why we dont post medical threads' post..... then don't use the black salve that you will see pictures of.

DYOR!
