Monaco Grand Prix 2011, Monte-Carlo - Race 6/19

Eddie being "very irish" there... :p

If people are complaining about that race NOTHING can please...

Every other race has pleased me this season, this track is boring the hell out of me now and I know a few others on here who have agreed in the past.

Chill out on Jake, anyone can make a mistake under pressure in the heat of the moment.
No one here could do a better job than him.

well said, the pressure on him is immense, I've seen his video blog where he explains all the voices in his ears telling him what to do , he literally has to speak, improvise and listen all at the same time, incredible guy ! :)

You would rather the ITV "OMG LEWIS LEWIS LEWIS" every 10 seconds style coms?

Wait.. daft question i fear.

No...that would be terrible

I would just like to make clear that i thought Hamilton's attempted pass on Massa was a bit silly and deserved a penalty.

The one on Maldonado, if you look at the video, was exactly the same as Schumacer. The only difference being that Schumacer had the awareness to notice a car by the side of him and back off/leave him space.

For some reason though the pass on Schumi is hailed as being a great pass while the one on Maldonado gets Lewis a load of " OMG what a ****. I hate him, he is so arrogant".

I still enjoy watching the cars racing at Monaco personally. It has massive character, its amazing watching the cars racing so close to the limit here and the the shot accross the swimming pool chicane is one of my favourite (if not the number 1) camera shots of the season. The cars look fantastic.

Race for me was purely spoilt by Vettel once again having everything fall into place for him :/

Canada should work in Mclaren's favour, not sure on Valencia. But I'd guess Silverstone and Hungary will suit the redbulls well.

No pleasing you lot.

It was an enthralling race but had a rubbish end, Vettel lucked in big time.

I'd much rather have Monaco on the calendar than the likes of Bahrain/Abu Dhabi etc..

It's not like F1 will return to any of the classic race tracks any time soon either. Pointless argument.

Well it was a good spectacle for the most part but a massive anti climax because of that incident, we were set up for a potentially great final 10 laps and it all just went down the chute.

Really?!?! Malaysia wasnt all that exciting and Australia they have taken all the bumps out of so there's less of a challenge (and wasn't the most entertaining this year).

Monaco the track is entertaining as its something different and there is a real edge of some danger for the drivers.

What we have watched this year is the first season in quite a while where the drivers have felt they can push and make a real difference, to an end where a few crashes and bad overtakes have happened. I dont see how say Barca last week could be seen to be better than this???

I'd happily ditch Bahrain, Monaco, Silverstone, Abu Dhabi, Barcelona off the calendar.

Use Bahrain, Silverstone, Barcelona for testing - but not racing.

With these new tyres leaving so much rubber off line is the track technically even thinner by the end of the race? Too thin in fact? Even webbers final pass kob just have to give it up, lucky he was in the same mind set as webber and didn't try to make the corner.
