Both Mercs on the front row, this is going to be godly. I hope they hold up everyone and we get some close racing![]()
It was great last race with the Mercs holding up the bunch for sometime, rather than Vettel just pulling away at the front.

Martin Whitmarsh on JB:
"Jenson was disappointed to end up only ninth, disadvantaged as he was by a power loss that prevented him from essaying a final quick lap in Q3. We don’t yet know for certain what caused that power loss, but we’d already seen signs of it at the end of Q2. We’ll investigate. It was a pity because, as he always does at Monaco, Jenson had been driving really well. That being the case, I’m sure he could have qualified quite a bit closer to the front had he had another lap in which to do so."
Of course JB was lying when he said over the radio that he had some kind of power loss...
Random fact from F1 racing mag this month: Merc changed from Brembo to CI brakes this year, as Hamilton used them at Mclaren & they are suited to very hard brakers like Ham & Rosberg.
Nothing particularly new there. Some drivers change brake material depending on what track they are at. Depending on if they want the initial bite, or the more progressive feel, or even the life of the brake material.
It's often common to have different brake material used on each side of the garage.
Where has Maldonado got the reputation of 'Monaco specialist'?

And from Joe Saward
Several high level Mercedes people spotted going into the Williams motorhome and into an office, and emerging shortly after.
Williams-Mercedes for 2014+ then.
Whilst I didn't expect Hamilton to get out qualified, it means nothing if rosberg can't then deliver in the race.
He has hasn't he? One time he was faster and got told he wasn't allowed to pass, hamilton himself said it was hollow to get a trophy when rosberg was faster than him.
There's no a driver on the grid I'd expect to be regularly faster than Hamilton over one lap, yet rosberg is managing it.
Does that race account for how far ahead LH is in the points?
