All the cars on sorfts are much faster than they should be. US were wrong tyre, and mercs are warming them up by the looks. Where the infrared cameras gone. They were good for like the two races that had them.

If you just watched the replay you'll see that Hamilton did not move over, he stayed on his line. Nowhere in the rule book does it say you should create a space that isn't there.

Under investigation. You'd think the stewards had painted themselves into a corner by not giving out a penalty last race but you watch see what they do now!!

I don't know, it could well have been that, softer tires generally want to be a bit hotter to give up their grip so could be that case of needing the tire up to temp before it can really perform? But if the soft or supersoft would get into their temp zone earlier and last longer... it seems insane.

Had they gone to softs/supersofts, that woeful pitstop from Ricciardo and Hamilton would have come around with a 7-10 second lead. At some point will Merc decide they need to pit and tell ham and rosberg to burn it up to make a gap.

I want to see the replay again, the reverse angle one suggested Hamilton moved over and left a gap and that Ricciardo backed off and swerved a bit panicking, assuming Hamilton would keep going over. If it seems Hamilton went over and left exactly the space required then a penalty would be insane.
