I've just done a little test now I'm home to back up what I posted earlier.

Just downloaded a 9.5 meg file from the net to my PC in under a minute.

Trying to download a 104.34 meg trailer from Xbox Live and it's going at a crawl, in fact if it was going at the proper speed it would have been finished by now. Guaranteed if I tried this test in the morning everything would be fine.

NTL surely must be implementing some sort of throttling which affects Live, its just not implemented across the whole country for some reason :confused:

There's been some ntl based tests that someone had done, and it proved that ntl were screwing around with port speeds. Got nothing to back this up as it was mentioned on irc and the chat logs have long since gone.

I can assure you that I am not lying. http://www.happyspaceinvader.com/index.php?itemid=19 and countless threads on the subject prove that.

If you truly do get full speed on NTL then you are in the minority and VERY LUCKY.

I started the Call of Duty 3 trailer about 20 minutes ago and its only on 30%.
