Mondeo's

I think he said it was the cambelt, it's not the squeaking noise you get when it's slipping, it's more of a whining noise. I'll have tocheck with him on that one :) .

Can anyone tell me the 0-60 times for the ST24, sorry if I missed it :) . I think my focus is like 14 seconds or around there :D

this is my car it just needs the side skirts fitting to complete the kit but that won't happen until it's warmer.

I did 0-60 in 7.8s in mine that was timed with a Gmeter :)

Yeah mines a Ghia X which i'm fitting the RSAP kit onto just the side skirts left to go on I debadged it and changed the side repeaters and got the tailgate handle colour coded. the only performance mods on there atm are a cat back stainless steel exhaust and an induction kit which i'm trying to get a heat shield made for to stop heatsoak.

this is the dyno graph from a rolliong road day I went to last year http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stephen.clarke90/S310TVW.pdf :)

lots more pics here if you want to have alook http://homepage.ntlworld.com/stephen.clarke90/carpics/ :)

out of the mondeo's for around 3k, which is the best model to get, is it the ghia x?

Ghia X RSAP imho. A standard Mk2 looks a bit dated, an RSAP Mondeo is still a great looking car. I loved mine and it still looks great even next to the 5.

TBH dude i think the 5 looks in a completely different league. But yeah, when taking into account how incredibly cheap they are, mondeo's are good.

just to give you an idea, my mk2 ghia X was 1500 quid on a W reg which is the last of the shape excluding st200s afaik, it had an interior facelift late V / early W to include climate control instead of just aircon.

I got a very good price on mine, mainly as the wheels it came with were flaked badly, and the paintwork needs a good tidy and the alternator needs replacing. Also, no service history . I'd say it'd be worth 2.5k once i've tidied it up, it's done 87,000 which is relatively low mileage for this car.

It's a very nice drive, smooth and power all over the show, can be driven almost like an auto in traffic, along with a stunning soundtrack thanks to a little K+N cone filter, but traffic means very poor fuel economy, as does a heavy right foot :p

Value for money I don't think anything touches it

No, the last volume Mk2 Mondeos were Y plate. Then a handful of 51 plate ST200's and small numbers (Under 10) of 52 plate Ghia X's.

Hey hey chaps. Looking for opinions on TDCI 130 GHIA X mondeo's, any experiences ? Any one drove them ? Good buy ? What prices should I be looking for to pay for around a 2003 model ?

Thanks.
