Great idea! and a very kind person to lend the kit out. Interesting to see a monitor calibrated, i'm used to working on printers and print controllers and calibrating them, so it's good to see t'other end calibrated too. :)

I don't want adding to the list, I think this monitor is beyond calibration! haha

Trust email replied to.

I hope the calibrator got to you safely :)

ColorEyes Display trial (9999 days long - legit) uploaded by me - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X1T1XBAO. Run as Demo.

It's a mighty better calibration software than the one bundled with Spyder2 and will give you much more consistent results.

These are my recommended settings:

  • Calibration Sensor - Spyder2
  • Monitor Settings - LCD Brigthness/Gains (unless you're calibrating a laptop display, then use LCD Brightness only)
  • Profile Settings - ICC v4, 16bit (auto-validate on) - you might want to use ICC v2 if there are compatibility issues or Matrix for some other unknown to me reasons.
  • Scheduling - Off
  • White Point Target - D65 (6500k) and Other 120 cd/m2
  • Use Monitor Precalibration - Monitor White to prepare display for getting the best white point (I guess, not sure how that works)
  • Gamma Target - other 2.2
  • Black Point Target - Min. Luminance

You can also load my settings before calibration by using this file in Setting Files - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O3ZPPVTH

The profile will validate itself after calibration process, make sure that the calibrator is connected and click on Profile Now to start the process.

Clicking on Current System Profile will display details of the profile.

And the official software for Spyder2Express that is nowhere near as good but may be a solution if you can't seem to get ColorEyes Display to work - http://support.colourconfidence.com/index.php?_m=downloads&_a=downloadfile&downloaditemid=13.

I will upload my calibration results for Hazro 27WC and Dell 2209WA soon.
