Monitor not responding to new build

Hey all, I bought this graphics card for my computer I got everything new and have plugged it all in it seems to run fine but its not registering on the monitor monitor just stays on stand by tried with another got same results I'm not sure if I have done something wrong here or? I have plugged in 2 plugs from the psu pci-e cables both have 6 pin holes with 2 pin hole attachments like on the side so I am using 8 on one and 6 on other if this makes sense?

Try connecting your monitor to the mobo and see if that works.

What GPU was it, I can't find the GPU on the link

Do you have another Gpu you could use.
Also make sure the card is properly seated, when you pushed it in, did you hear a click?

Yeah have tried moving it to a different slot and tried taking out all but 1 ram stick

Are the fans on the card actually spinning, if they are, at least you know power is getting to the card.

How is the card connected to the monitor and what other connections does it have, ie vga,hdmi etc.

Has hdmi I tried it on the TV didn't seem to show anything my screen is a VGA but I have a connector that plugs into the gpu via dvi. It works fine on other computer

If you still have the other computer, can you try the card in it, that way it will rule out Gpu as the problem and just leaves the mobo.
You could also try a search to see if your mobo has any problems with certain cards.
I know the Z77 D3H needed a bios update with the 7850 and some 7950s.
Or you could get in touch with OCUK and see what advice they can offer.

bios set gfx to pci-e?

I had a similar problem. One day no matter what I did my gfx card would not display on my tv. I tried turning pc off and on, tried different cables and inputs.

The thing that seemed to solve it but no real reason why was turning my power supply off with the switch on the back and back on. Perhaps some sort of motherboard problem. Just something to try anyway

You're right. It makes, and you make no sense.

Esp the "monitor monitor" bit. After that it makes less sense.
