Hey lads, a friend wants a new monitor here and has £400 to spend. He currently has a Benq XL2420T and a 980ti, so is considering moving to 1440p. What is the best he can get for that money?

4K isn't an option, 60 hertz just isn't enough for gaming.

Of course it is, a 60Hz 4K screen with a low response time are actually brilliant for gaming, i had mine playing all the latest FPS games with no problems at all. He would benefit going with a G-sync monitor though it's not that important.

For £400 or under you have quite a lot of choice if you want to stick with 1080, though i'd definitely go higher than 1080, 1440 or 4K is where my money would go.

Have tried 4k at 60hertz and hated it, I couldn't play on less than 120/144 anymore myself. Thanks for the options I will let him know mate.

That would depend if he had tried 120+Hz, I have a 144hz monitor and 60hz is disgusting.
