Monsoon Hardline Kit

I would say no, in fact there are probably more negatives than positives.

I'd like to disagree with this point. Yes - it's more difficult to setup, but once it is setup, acrylic doesn't leech whereas vinyl tubing does. What does this mean? Less chance of gunking, less need for maintenance and coolant will "last" longer.

My next setup will most definitely be hardline acrylic and this kit from Monsoon would be AWESOME!!!

think I will give this a bash fittings are actually cheaper than I thought and found a good price on the tubing its self

does any one know how acrylic tubing reacts to boiling water? used to bend pvc conduit when I was an apprentice with hot water and a bending spring

Or is a heat gun the best way?

My acrylic pipe needs a heatgun. boiling water just isnt hot enough. tbh heatgun is easier because only aiming it at the bend will keep what you want to stay straight, perfectly staright.

I was surprised at how cheap fittings were, so i got a handful to integrate into my loop. main advantage is rhat its a bit more permanent than tubing due to no plasticizers. its also incredibly easy to.clean and re-use if it were to gt a bit of gunk build up.

i plan to use hard pipes next time i do a small build as once you have worked the angles out it keeps things so tidy if you lack space....
Also want to try it in my big build but only because i want seperate loops with the tubing spiraling together :D

I have given it a go but only between GPU, RAM, CPU and MOBO blocks, without bends aiming for a neat board. I did it to test out the different fittings and how i could handle the acrylic, before committing the whole rig. I want to use them with the 90 degree Monsoon angle fittings though, ones which have attachable light modules and whack some UV light through these crystal clear links. I want to also experiment about using silicon bending tube (for 10mm ID) for 12,16 tubing, i guess i can fill the fitting with sanded down silicon tubing and keep them watertight and use the smaller silicon tubing to get weird non uniform (straight) patterns but with a ID of at least 10mm, i am hoping to achieve some sort of crystal or glass effect or maybe a wavy pattern.

Maybe a silly question but does this hard tubing fit in to normal compression fittings?

Monsoon will release a new range of barbs which will fit existing fittings, so it'll much cheaper to upgrade using your existing fittings. ;)

It was in the last line of my OP in case you missed it.

Trust me to skip the last paragraph ;)

Cheers :)

Edit: Does acrylic tubing come in 13-19mm (1\2" ID - 3\4" OD)? A quick google search is telling me not.

If I have 13-19mm monsoon fittings already would I need to buy a whole new set and then the inner barbs to use the acrylic tubing in my loop?
