How much does CPU come into play during the Heaven benchmarks. My card is the same as yours Eclectic but my PC grinds to a halt. Averaging 12 FPS. I run a 965 BE @ 3.8.

Eclectic, nice to see you pretend to run Crysis Bench at 4xAA when in fact it's no AA :) Trying to trick anybody? Also you run the benchmarks at 10% lower resolution, your scores would be significantly lower.

Although funnily enough that's given us a pretty good comparison, the 6870 runs crysis at roughly the same framerate as a 480 but with a 10% higher res and 4xAA compared to none

Hardly tricking anyone when it clearly states " no AA " in the results, just an oversight.

Why has he chosen 4x in the box then?

It's not 480, it's 5870 oced to 1050 on core.

Ok, much better now. Or, not really good in the big scheme of things.

18 FPS at a 945 Clock. Don't have the balls to push it higher.

Obvious mistake, he does his setting and adds it to the test run, realizes he has no AA and sets it but forgets to update the run and instead starts the bench, it clearly states no AA in the results, pulling the wool over nobodys eyes.

Fair enough, not a fair comparison then.

What's your idle temps? I'm at 50C now on a 950 OC.

Running at the speeds in my sig (currently no need to run it higher) is 39*C in idle at 20% fan speed (silent).

I realise it varies from card to card, but what is a safe clock? Currently on 965/1250. Will have a look at MSI. Seems confusing at first.
