richyfingers said:Tad hot is a complete understatement, in my experience with the nbc kit even going for a gentle jog with it on absolutely knackers you, it is so restrictive and hot, you can’t get enough air in. I can’t begin to imagine using it for a prolonged period. I think the most I ever wore it for was around 4 hours for a small exercise and that was horrendous, it’s so claustrophobic, you might be able to function in combat but not for long and not effectively in my opinion.
Of course it is. It's the army, not the poofters brigade.locutus12 said:and of course that makes it perfectly acceptable.

Cueball said:Hilarious really, how the heck can political correctness apply to an organisation whose sole purpose is to engage the enemy and destroy them?

Same principle, different wording.vonhelmet said:I'm pretty sure the purpose of the army is to neutralise the enemy, not destroy them.
Cueball said:Neutralise, destroy. Heck, I doubt most infantry types could even tell you the difference!

Sometimes the only way to neutralize the threat is to completly remove their ability to cause harm sometimes the only way is by destroying themvonhelmet said:They're not the same, and the fact that they can't tell the difference is part of the problem, really.
