More daringly innovative thinking from Bob Crow

He and his union should be taxed the equivalent of what the London economy loses each time his minions hold a tube strike.

Keep public sector jobs by putting up taxes - incredible blue sky thinking.

Sounds like a nice progressive tax based on the ability to pay as well, we all know yuppies and bankers send all the emails. Still, be a money spinner for IT firms, probably cost twice as much again to even measure it / bill it.

I hate they way they *happen* to have the strikes on new years eve -- when it's obvious they all just want to go out and get hammered. Or always on a Monday or Friday. And about 1% of them bother going to the picket line.

Also *purely urban legend approaching* apparently they do things like put chewing gum in the slots for the automatic ticket machines, so that they don't work on the day of the strike, so they can say 'Look how much the whole system is crippled without us, now GIVE US MONEY' :(

I honestly would not mind if emails were taxed at one pence each. It's a surprisingly elegant solution to the spam problem too, while not breaking the banks of virtually every typical user. ISPs can easily monitor and bill users for their email.

Which is great in theory except for the poor sods whose machines have been taken over as part of botnets and are used to send millions of spam emails....

would bankrupt every single forum on the internet, or force them not to validate emails, also if you forget your pw you'll have to pay etc...

also i wouldn't stop spam sent from botnets or outside the country which is where i imagine most of it comes from.
