More POWER!

It seems if I have speedstep enabled, then I need to lower the clock to 4.2, where as if I turn it off I can have at least 4.3. Unfortunately, speedstep makes CS:S run erratically. I haven't touched voltages yet.

Setter, yes, the vcore is on auto, and after around two and half hours of gaming the reading was 0.936. If it's of any use, this was with speedstep still enabled.

arc, the k2 is an excellent cooler, though low profile ram is a must have. Bit cheaper than the NH-D14, and cools every bit as good. Pretty nice looking peice of kit as well. Stock fans are actually very good too. At 60 quid it's very well priced.

Just been messin around with the fan speeds on the k2 in asus ai suite, 499 rpm at idle, 27-27-27-15, (dodgy sensor at idle on last core). Extremely quiet. I can just about hear the fans on the gpu now.

Good temps, setter.

If I enable speedstep, it seems to be happy with 4.6 (vcore 1.020). So far, it's just CS:S that requires me to turn that off.

I used a gelid tranquillo V2 on my old 2500K and that did a great job. You can get decent air coolers for very little spendage.
