I still can't work out if you're a spambot or just incredibly autistic.
I thought that was an excellent post he made!

did someone order pretentious waffles?
the vast distances of the universe and how slow the speed of light is, I don't think space aliens are visiting here anytime soon.
what about the sonic shockwaves? I know you get a bang when you break the sound barrier, no idea what happens when you start hitting speeds like that though.Which leads me to think about something else...how would you deal with the heat generated by moving through dense air at 32000 mph? It would be immense.

Colour me utterly unconvinced until the little green men knock on my door, and we discuss the weather, politics and cow mutilation over a nice cup of tea.
Reminds me of crop circles and how they "had" to be made by aliens, with excuses ranging from "why would people create them, it makes no sense" to "these patterns are too geometrically precise to be made by humans". Aliens, yeah right...
I'm thinking its Jack The Ripper

I saw something similar, related to Adamski's pics. the theory was a "gravity engine" that in effect pulled your destination point to the ship and then when you turned it off it returned, and your craft moved w/ it. The whole theory was way above my understanding at the time [probably nowt's changed, lol]. The theory as regards Adamski was that a few of his pics showed unusual warping in the craft structure, which was attributed to gravity manipulation. Was many moons ago now so I can't recall if that was a theory specific to his craft, or if it was a theory that existed and someone posited the explanation to his pics.He was never caught after all!
The sonic boom thing, surely you'd only hear a boom if the craft broke the sound barrier. If there's no acceleration to and then beyond the barrier then there's no sonic boom which would indicate either some kind of anti-gravity field or one of the theories on how long distance space travel might be possible by folding space in front of the vehicle to reach the destination instantly. I can't remember which series this was talked about, might have been an episode of Cosmos a few years back.

This seems to be the go to for lots of scifi of late, going faster than light is easy, you simply fold a piece of paper and put a pencil through it, ta darrr!
Tee hee! Indeed

I'm 100% certain that in a Guinness Book of World Records a good few years back (2004 - 2008 possibly) the US Navy held the record for the fastest projectile - it was either 225,000 mph or 425,000 mph but didn't elaborate on what was being fired or from what. Be interested to know if anyone remembers this.I don’t think there’s a material known to man, which could withstand moving through an atmosphere at 32000mph (8.8 miles per second) without exploding or burning up, due to the heat, in milliseconds.
Perhaps it’s possible, that *if* you could ever make such a material, the speed of the object involved, might actually super-heat the oxygen around it like lightening does, so perhaps it would sound like thunder, as well as a sonic boom.
