More snow on its way

Here it's been snowing crazily all night. And at work there are like 3 of us in compared to a normal day when there is closer to 30.

Hoorah for casual day!

Bedford here, I guess we have had around 6 inches overnight, managed to get to work although it took 45 mins instead of the ususal 10-15.
Guess it will be very quiet though am the only one here so far and usually am the last one in. To top it all the wife has just rang, saying her school and our daughters school are shut, so they are staying at home !!!!!!

my GF works in bedford (kempston actually)

Glad I stayed in London with my other 1/2 last night then, heard that Bedford was going to be hit bad. Would have been a horrible commute down, especially with a reduced Thameslink service.

How bad is it really, compared to Monday when I was forced to stay at home with living out to the west ???

Hmmm, I'm in the office in Beeston at the moment. When I came in ~3hrs ago the trams and trains were running fine and there were plenty of buses around in Nottingham.

Probably go home at lunchtime (depending on whether the package I am expecting has come by then).

I would say worse than monday was. I would guess at at least 2-3 more inches of snow this morning.

I think it's great, the dog absolutley loves it, took us two hours to walk him on Monday night as he was having that much fun, hopefully will be the same tonight :)

It'll be summer soon and most people will moaning that it's too hot, so enjoy the snow :)

Wow, could be fun trying to get home tonight. Might have to stay down here again and get the GF to comfort me :D:D:D

Although on the other hand I want to build a snowman as I didn't get the chance working from home on Monday.

Boss wouldn't be happy with me taking another day off.

Conditions far worse here than a couple of days ago; no gritting or grading in my suburb, and the roads are absolutely treacherous. Fought my way in to work; only 14 miles, but it felt like eternity!

Hmmm, upgraded warning for Yorkshire, just cloudy still though. As per usual I expect nothing to surface!

snows started up here in harrogate, managed to get into town when it started, suffice to say there is a point where i will have to request leave or i wont be able to get home, harrogate is fine and drowning in grit, my village is not

They don't need grit, they need snowploughs...

all they do up here is shift all the top snow and leave the nice compacted ice...

Much much worse today for me. Its taken me 4 hours to drive home from luton to cambridge after a nightshift. The A505 was shut so I couldn't bypass Baldock. 30 miles on country roads.

Some very hairy moments. If it doesn't clear I doubt I will get in tonight.
