Yeah, we were all holding guns to the bidders' heads forcing them to pay the prices that we had decided the consoles will go for. After all, that's how an auction works, isn't it? And those poor parents who simply had to give a games console for xmas... I heard it's now against the law to give anything but a Nintendo Wii to a child for xmas.

Yup , just like ticket touts. Going out and doing multiple buys which caused the shortages in the shops , can't be anything wrong with that ???

You're right I think, you have X amount of days to return items unopened IIRC.

£300 console only is worse than bundled Wii deal with 2 extra games and one Wii Play! It's no brainer! :rolleyes:

I stated several times that if I was running the shops I would sell them bundled......
I was not being serious .......

Too much subtlety is lost on an internet forum.

Mind you I won't buy a bundle, afterall I already have red steel, rayman, zelda, play, and happy feet. Hence I'll simply wait till after Xmas, stroll into a shop, get a console at retail, maybe with a few free extras and spend my profit on the important things in life. I don't really rate a console as being important.

LOL :) Yeah those POOR parents who can spend double retail price because they can't be bothered to get up at 4am, how I pity them lol.

I don't have a wii because of those people, because they tempt me with their fat wedges of cash , the cruelty they've inflicted on my family, forcing me to sell wii after wii by offering huge sums of cash meaning my little girl won't get to open a wii on Xmas morning. They are evil those ebay bidders, evil I tell you.

I bought them one at a time, I got up early and queued. :D
 
managed to get the last non pre-order one from my local one this morning at about 8:45 when they're meant to open at 9, they had 4 in yesterday and 4 today
they just asked what i wanted with it, didnt say i had to get anything, i wanted super monkey ball and a nunchuck (already have wii play), they didnt have any nunchucks in so i just got the wii and super monkey ball, and she put the seal on super monkey ball so i can return it if i change my mind
think it must vary quite a lot between different branches

Was up till 2am boxing and now I have a headache :D I love my Wii.
 
Went to my local shop at Bank this morning and they aren't getting any in today :(. Looks like I'll be Wiiless over Christmas :(, and I'll tell you something else. The fact that I've been given a free XBox 360 Premium, Pro Evo 6, TDU, Table Tennis, extra controller, & battery charger for FREE (and it's not a Christmas present) doesn't make me feel any better about not having a Wii!

There is a delivery option that will get you it tomorrow, not massively expensive if you really want it quick.
