morning rant

I have the samething i did when i opened it my drivers license and thats about it. I dont have my own passport and all the other stuff HSBC wanted was gas/electricity/water bills i said "Im 20 living at home therefore have none of the above in my name how do u expect me to get it" they just said "sorry we cant help you then" i went mental and left :mad:

Going into bank again tomorrow and gonna talk to lady i did last week then ill ask to see the bank manager its obsurd

Happened to me at Barclays. My dad was there though. He went mental and they opened the account.
 
that was with HSBC i had those problems barclays were decent enuff and did it for me. To top it off ive been under paid by work as well now :mad:
 
They are meant to get several forms of ID as part of so called "KYC" (Know Your Customer). They have to do this in order to comply with (I think) FSA guidelines to prevent money laundering.

They don't do it just to be difficult (although you would think that people laundering money would be able whip up a few fake utility bills).

Time for a Specsavers visit me thinks, and the advice i should take from that is give it a rest as it makes you blind. :D
