Morrowind is coming to Skyrim’s game engine - Skywind

Looks great, played a bit of the one they did for oblivion but looks even better in skyrim's engine.

I have always loved morrowind more than the others just seemed better to me maybe just nostalgia but i always remember when i first got it i played it for hours without eating as i had not noticed the time passing, i loved that it did not have fast travel and you had to actually struggle to find things it made you feel more connected to the world and you actually had to explore, same reason why i enjoyed grimrock so much.
I also really wanted to finish the game to find out what happened and with skyrim i did not really care and it became more of a grind.
I always felt oblivion and skyrim lost something from morrowind although i could not tell you what it was.
Not that oblivion or skyrim were bad just did not hit me the same way.

Glad to see this on the skyrim engine especially the combat side as on morrwind it was a little poor.

It would be a shame if this was stopped, i wish the companies would find some way to work it out like valve did with black mesa.

slightly less enthused about skyblivion, but thats just because oblivion [apart from the faces] didnt look all too bad tbh. morrowind for me suffers from the limited render distance that, considering i missed out at the time, is a bit of a time shock to play now.

still a good idea though, wonder if they'll change the whole levels/skills mechanic to the skyrim version [ie just use the default skyrim mechanic and recreate the world], because thats one of the hardest bits for me in both games is getting used to that mechanic

this might be going a bit too far for bethesda, they could od this themselves and make a fortune. i see it being shut down!

Or just give the guy a job, claim all the rights under their copyright anyway and sell it as a DLC for skyrim. Thats the best solution for all, as it would have the resources behind it to be awesome, whilst we still get what we want.

Been keeping an eye on these for a while. Looking forward to trying them both out, especially Skywind.

Installing Skyrim now...never yet played it. Me thinks I will try it out first without mods.
