Midges are always a problem here as I live right next to a sodding corn field, it's the whole sounding like a propellor bladed plane on helium as they try to fly into your ear thing that does my nut though, never really noticed bites tbh.
Jokester: Bugger that, I can't imagine proper mosquitos being quite as quiet as midges, might keep a tennis racket under my bed!
lol. the trick is get in bed and turn the lights off, when you hear the high pitched noise from the mosquito to quick jump out of bed and turn the lights on, they will scatter for the closest wall or object to land and hide. thats when you get the shoe/paper or flip flop out to whack him.
