Most arrogant profession?

Not necessarily. The 'actual' clientele are generally extremely down to earth and most of them time you wouldn't know them from Adam, it's a minority who act like that. It's the same above, with yachts/large boats etc. those who actually have the money and don't need to pretend are some of the most pleasant people I've met and most of the time the only reason you know they're wealthy is by what is on their wrist.

The divide you're seeing there is generally the difference between new money and old money. As you've said, most wealthy people have nothing to prove.

Secretary of State for defence

because they think they can get away with letting their homosexual lovers run free in the MoD with no repercussions

Alfa Romeo drivers.

Yes, I know, not a profession. It stands up though. They have no reason to look down on anyone (being the driver of a poorly built car) and yet think they're able to look down on people :/

some students I know, suprisingly....nothing to do with wealth (as they have none), but the ones that go to the better university here in Bristol, ****ing love themselves.

My friend just this weekend, got talking to a broad in a local club, she asked what uni he goes to, he said the lesser ranked one and she literally turned away and that was that.

Consultants – As in technical (engineering / environmental / social care etc) not medical.

I have been in meetings where you have consultants from different companies arguing over how ‘they’ were the experts and had the most experience in said project. Quite amusing really, but a big part of winning work as a consultant is the bravado and ego, where the staff who actually know everything rarely tend to leave their desk and appear in front of clients. Usually because they are so technically focused no one understands them anyway.

Not nearly as pompous and arrogant as the clientele though.

not really, my dad went into an audi showroom and asked how much a particular model of high end motor was and because he was in his work clothes (read: high vis boiler suit) the sales guys exact words were "oh you wont be able to afford that". needless to say he got an ear bashing.

dont judge a manager by his overalls :D
