Oh my, leg rubbing time...

I would disagree. Aqua just got a massive piece of metal plate over the entire board. If they had more angular lines then it would have been a piece of art.

look at that vision d, the heatsink over the MOSFET are like sculptured. The parallel lines from the heat spreader over the m.2 drive and the metal hairs for the PCIE and the metal guard for the dimm slots are all complimentary.

the designer of this clearly put a lot of thoughts into the aesthetics. Also notice the perforated heatsink over the chipset next to the metal spreader. That’s a nice detail.

they even came up with a white cover plate to cover the EPS connector so no nasty cable clutter.

a lot of attention to details on this board. Beaut

the only things I would change on this board is the socket from LGA1200 to AM4 and the label to say X570. Then I would pay for it. Hahaha

one day if the board manufactures can put all the components on the board on the back side and only have the only ones need cooling on the front side so when you look at the board it is just a slate of black with accent of heatsinks then I think we would have reached the pinnacle of board aesthetics.

I dont care for random blocks of metal stuck all over a board, tbh. I'd rather see a quality components on a naked board where heatsinks arent a necessity., but we're all different :)

It's nice that consumer boards are yoinking the barely used every second pcie slots in favour of stuffing in m.2 spots.

I know they're working with the restrictions they have but m.2 boards screwed flat to a big motherboard which requires a big case where the pcie boards are held vertical and the ram sticks are vertical sounds like an opportunity to make vertical m.2 sockets.

I don't like boards with completely functionless IO shrouds and other plastic tat, or with heatsinks that were clearly designed by someone with no understanding of thermodynamics.

Have a word, this is the pinnacle of mobo design

This, on the other hand, is a classic, if not exactly "beautiful".

AQUA is most definitely up there, defiantly one if I went mainstream ATX.

I also love my Rampage VI extreme, first Rampage on X299, IMO other revisions were better feature wise, but step back aesthetically. Looks great with RGB toned down but can light up like a Xmas tree if you want.

Yes, it does look nice, but I am afraid I am a bit of a cooling nut so I would prefer the board be more open to the air. :/

At what point would motherboard designs/manufacturers start to rotate the 24pin ATX connector similar to SATA connectors in this board, so that the PSU cable can plug in without making a huge "loop" though the back of the case? I think there are a few premium boards out there with this feature but should be standard in all mobos.

I am pretty sure there are 90 degree atx connector already available.

The issue with that is the connector is massive. If you have cases with cut outs then the connector will cover up half of the cut out.
