Most beautiful motherboard

Have a word, this is the pinnacle of mobo design

Takes me back to the old Gigabyte boards... the ones that looked like an explosion in an Allsorts sweet factory, with every socket a different colour.

At what point would motherboard designs/manufacturers start to rotate the 24pin ATX connector similar to SATA connectors in this board, so that the PSU cable can plug in without making a huge "loop" though the back of the case? I think there are a few premium boards out there with this feature but should be standard in all mobos.
They exist on a number of higher end boards already.
The issue with that is the connector is massive. If you have cases with cut outs then the connector will cover up half of the cut out.
and yes, they can be very problematic, depending on the case design.

I would disagree. Aqua just got a massive piece of metal plate over the entire board. If they had more angular lines then it would have been a piece of art.
I would disagree - Angular lines (especially with RGB) looked cool the first time ROG boards started using them, but now everyone has followed this trend and it's already starting to look as dated as 1970s wallpaper patterns. That's not art, it's just ***** and should be flushed away.

The vision board you posted looks like a modern art building, which again has a few moments of aesthetic interest... but as with actual architecture it too gives way to the feeling that it will soon look very dated. The Aqua is nicer, though still not the prettiest, and both boards look a little too plain with those empty white spaces. It needs to come in other colours and have more featuring, as it's in danger of looking more like an Apple™ product than a PC component.

I'm not a massive fan of exposed PCBs so I do love shrouding, especially if it also helps cooling in some way (heatsinking, airflow channelling, water block, or whatever), but these just don't do it for me.

That’s it isn’t it. If everyone copies the design then it loose it uniqueness and no longer “cool” anymore.

If it is unique, it will stand pretty well against test of time.

This board would be minimalistic in design aesthetics. It is hugely popular as design philosophy from interior design to furniture to buildings. It actually go quite well with a number of cases I can think of.

The N-Gage, the Virtual Boy, the Power Glove, Magic Leap AR, or even R.O.B...... History is filled with unique designs that just tanked. Half the time it's precisely because they looked so unique and thus way too far out there.

And it will work in some cases... but not in others. Also, do not think that a design philosophy is universally applicable, nor that being 'hugely popular' in one arena makes it so in another. Minimalism looks fine if you enjoy Scandi furniture from IKEA, but not if you're more into highly ornate Renaissance and Gothic architecture.
In fact, architecture is a good example, as there are so many examples of 'unique' designs that are widely regarded as ******* hideous, from Simmons Hall MIT to that TV tower in Prague.

Frustratingly I can't remember the model but the best looking motherboard I've ever seen oddly was a dual socket server board from around 10-12 years ago - really nice black and gold aesthetic which was wasted on its function.

Asus Pro X570 Ace. Simple, sleek, sophisticated yet professional. Like a certain someone. :o ;)

This is also a thing of beauty: (112 core, 224 thread, 768GB of DDR 4, back from 2017)

PCB's on this scale are tremendously outrageous.

For my last PC I wanted a board that was Spinal Tap black - none more black. It was surprisingly hard. Ended up with an Asus z490E. I don't want to see the MB.

I've never liked the look of EVGA boards. Considering how they're usually known for their style in graphics cards. Their motherboards always look unfinished.
