Most Demanding PC game atm?

I have Deus Ex Mankind Divided on Steam, still not played it, may give it a try this afternoon. The Witcher 3 looks insane to run, I have it on PS4 but would like to test it on on my PC at some point.

I remember back in the day GTA IV & Crysis were really hard to run on my old machine.

Star citizen even though it has a network bottleneck currently even modding it to run offline to remove said bottleneck is still a massive strain on the system. Gorgeous though.

PUBG isn't too bad imho getting around 90 average frames here. And that's at 3440x1440

Ghost recon wildlands absolutely cranes my system at 3440x1440 maxed out apart from God rays. Use 10.5gb vram and max out two 1080tis getting about 70-80 frames

Another vote for The Hunter - Call of The Wild, stunning looking game but damn it brigs GPU's to their knees.
It's the only game (ok wildlands I haven't properly played yet) that turns my usually quiet 1080 into a noisy git and warms up my lower legs!!

Actually demonstrates the gtx1080 is inadequate for 1440p nowadays !

Maybe.... For now!

Progress marches on! I remember when I first got my 1080 and it blitzed through everything, now it's starting to struggle.

I don't even think twin ti's would run hunter at 4K well.

Have actually just picked this up today. Cant test 4k (without funky DSR ) but will be able to comment on performance on twin ti's @ 3440x1440 & 2560x1440 if anyone is interested in that.

EDIT : No sli support. 1TI is running maxed out 3440x1440 @ around 70fps so would probably be around 50 on 4k

The 1080 does achieve an average of over 60fps it's the minimum fps that drops below 60 on occasion.

If your ti can do an average of 70fps then I suspect in more demanding areas it would drop below 60 on occasion. I agree the ti would probably average 50 at 4K so dropping into the 40's at times.

Either way well below what I would want at all resolutions. Here's looking to Volta!

you seen that insane tesla volta card they recently shown.... absolutely bannanas.

What about Watchdogs 2?

I haven't got it but I've seen videos with either the 1008 or 1080ti (I forget which) was unable to hit 1080p/60

Same here, I've also got Witcher 3 and a few others on PC that I haven't played yet as I'm waiting for Vega before I do, I moved up to 3440x1440 a while back and want a card to max them out with decent frame rates.

I booted Witcher 3 up but even with several settings drops my Fury Pro was only managing mid thirties and I want more than that so it feels fluid.

take your pick.....most PC games today are either Early Access or shocking ports. Only way to get good performance is by brute forcing it with a massively overpriced high end GPU.

the difference is cotw is actually well made not a shoddy port.its a brand new engine though and needs the horse power.

Well I'm annoyed with the performance of my gtx 1080 tonight it went down to 42 frames and regularly stayed below 50. I'm been exploring away from the starting points and the more lush scenery at 1440p is just too much for it.

Guess the 1080 is only a 1080p card then because it can't cope with cotw at 1440p

War hammer total war in 1440p in the heavy forest maps. With a mix of ultra/high settings I get a max of 45fps and lows of 36. That's with a Titan x and a 4770k at 4.6. So looking forwards to tww2 and i think I will be upgrading to a 6 core cpu. Will be great to see the difference " hoping it will be a positive one " :)
