Most expensive drink you've ever bought in a pub/bar

london mariott. £5 for half a litre of water at a meal there. The waiters were used about 12 or so of these (there were 8 of us and it was my sisters 21st family meal) to keep our glasses topped up all night and 'forgot' to tell us that we would be charged for them.

Molly Gwynns I presume? Pretty touristy in my opinion as a lot of expats go to them. As to the prices, well this evening it was around £15 for a mojito and £25 for a glass of house wine from one of the bars I've just got back from.

What's wrong with Moscow though... the night-life is the best I've ever seen...

Umh, possibly - it was Molly something I believe. It was just round the corner from my Dad's office, always packed. Seemingly a notorious 'pick up' bar too.
I just wasn't a big fan of the city nor the Moscovites. It didn't help that I've only been in the dead of winter mind. There are some good places, and the night life is fun but still my least favourite city I've visited.
Kiev though, strangely, is brilliant...

Yes because of the expats it's known as a 'pick up' bar hence why I try to avoid it. Also you need to get here in summer, though partying in winter is good fun here some of the summer bars and terraces are excellent.

If Moscow is your least favourite city you need to travel in Russia more when you're out here next ;)

Not much to do with price but last year at a party my sixthform had my friend went to get a glass of tap water for his missus and the barman told him they'd run out. In the end he got her a J2O for £4.

He is still embarassed remebering it now :)

Most ive spent on 1 drink was single JD + single sambuca + single jager + red bull...£8 and bloody gorgeous :)

If its £3 a pint i generally wont pay it, i work for a beer delivery company, i know how much the stuff costs so am not paying £3 for a pint of carling, not a prayer :D

€8 a beer in the French Alps, which given with how the Euro and Sterling were earlier this year was pretty much almost £8.

Sure, that's not the most expensive drink, but considering it's only a beer... and not even a pint, it's pretty weak!

I did also once have drinks in a posh bar in Marbella where we ordered a very simple drink which somebody made up called Chocolate Monkeys. It was a chocolate milkshake with banana liquor in it. The bar was part of a hotel, so they sent to the kitchen for the milkshake part and then the bartender just mixed the liquor in. We drank them and then ordered another round for the five of us. The final bill for just those drinks was £100, with each drink being £10!

Glad I wasn't paying on that one!

Probably around 20 euros a pint in Monaco

I will never understand paying that for a pint in a posh place in Monaco (or Southern France for that matter) when the street / beach side cafes and restaurants have much better food and the same alcohol for normal prices.
