Most graphically pleasing game?

With the Superman mod in Just Cause 2 I can spend an hour just flitting about just above the treetops checking out the scenery (and blasting the odd car away from 500ft above a road heh). I know the game looks very cartoony but the rainforests, water etc are very well done.

I am not really sure how to define it.

What I am looking for is ":| this looks amazing" and you spend so much time taking in the graphics you get killed/drive off the road and have to start again haha

Last game to put me in awe like that was probably Far Cry, but that was in 2004, nowadays it wouldn't have the same effect.

Probably very dated now, but I remember a heavily modded oblivion could be quite stunning at times (if you can be bothered to get it set up :p).

I found the graphics for Just Cause 2 very disappointing. It's actually the reason why I stopped play it somewhere in the middle.

Actually...I can kind of understand where youre coming from. Its nice eye candy but also very cartoony...the forests are highlighter green etc. Also its a bit same-y all around...once you have seen one village with huts on stilts you've seen them all.

Its one of those strange games that u play when youre zoned out after a logn day..the "missions" are a waste of time and JC2 in the end is just good for a muck-about. Its really a movie-stunts kinda game if you ask me.

Crysis is by far the most demanding, I guess it depends how you define "graphically pleasing" Far Cry was nice because it was different being set in the tropics or on a beach as opposed to AVP which is always dark but has good graphics

Witcher 2 + ubersampling... I think not.
