Most outrageous food you've eaten?

All sorts of bugs, grubs and generally disgusting things.

Interestingly one of the good sources of food in a survival situation are Hedgehogs, bake them in a firepit wrapped in clay and when you remove the hardened clay it removes the bristles.

They taste like, you what I'm going to say...chicken.

Snails are awful, have tried squirrel, pigeon, wildebeest, crocodile, ostrich, kangaroo, swordfish...all ok the tastes are just a variation on meaty really

I draw the line at insects but AFAIK shrimp and prawn are aboout the same as a big insect really..I have heard witchety grubs are nice but have never had the chance

Minke whale by mistake. :(

Was on a buffet on the ferry to Norway, we all thought it was smoked beef.

Wasn't until we spotted it a week later on the Bergan market we knew what we'd eaten..

Wild Boar and Kangaroo.

The kangaroo was tough as anything and took an age of chewing!

The roo was probably an old one? Roo are wild animals, they are not farmed and the meat are sold by the kilo so the hunters get more profit by killing a older and bigger one. A younger roo is nicer but they don't make as much profit.
