Most time spent on a single demo?

Rainbow 6

Played the demo of that so much i never actually got around to buying the actual game until rogue spear came out and i bought that instead :D

an old, old football management game called "1-0"

Probably 2 years playing it on my P-75, 64mb ram

For me it would have to be the original Sensible Soccer demo. it finished when a someone scored. My brother and I spent hours and hours and hours playing that. When the final game came out it was even better. I can safely say that all these years on, it is still far and away my most played game, with Tekken 3 in second place but a long way back!!!

Valve

I played the BF2 demo quite a bit, then went out and bought the full game. I play the ET:QW demo a lot but it doesn't quite convince me to buy the full game...

Think it was Bubble Bobble on the old Speccy for me - you got 5 levels and it was great seeing how high a score you could get

Demo for the first Settlers game (on the Amiga) got it off the front of Amiga Format!! It was essentially an open ended demo and you could just play & play, top quality:D

Magic Pockets for the Amiga.... Must have played it 100+ times. The rest of the game never measured up to the opening level.

Agreed, great game for its time, also Putty was an awesome demo. The original C&C and Dune 2 were very good and played often. Ah those days of buying a magazine.

Magic Pockets, was that the game which was on a Saturday AM kids TV show years ago, which you had to phone up and shout commands to play?

BF2 and World in Conflict for me.

Anything MP will keep me playing as every scenario is different due to different player interaction.

BF2 got a huge load of playtime, Crysis has had a lot too. Can't think of anything on PC that has reallly had as much as BF2 did when it came out though.

On Playstation I spend huge amounts of time playing MGS2 (properly ridiculous amounts of time, I've never bought it even, just borrowed it off friends :p)
All the Gran Turismos got a lot of demo time, as did Driver.
