Most time spent on a single demo?

Magic Pockets, was that the game which was on a Saturday AM kids TV show years ago, which you had to phone up and shout commands to play?

Yea I remember that and they did Xenon too.

BF2 demo I played for about 4 months. 64 players on a 32 player map and no autobalance on most servers!

You guys are lightweights and your demos puny - I've been playing the Spheres of Chaos demo (www.spheresofchaos.com) non-stop since 2002! Not as my only game obviously, but I come back to it almost every week. I feel so guilty for STILL not having bought the full game considering the amount of enjoyment I've gotten out of it, but the guy really has screwed himself by putting so many different options, playmodes, and game modifiers in the demo! :p

I played the original Grand Prix Legends demo almost every day for about 6 months. I seem to remember it was one car (the Lotus 49) and one track (Watkins Glen). Me and my cousin spent ages getting our laptimes down (I remember vividly the first time I got into the 1:12s there), talking about racing lines round the track, speculating about the full game... When the game finally did come out, in October of 1998, it was actually like Christmas, and I played literally nothing else for about 3 years.

And my eventual personal best lap at the Glen was a 1:05.4, which wasn't too shabby - and a full 7 seconds a lap faster than I was when I was still learning the demo!

Watkins glen, that reminds me of the Nascar demo, somehow the full game felt rubbish because glen was the only course with corners in both directions anyway.
I must have played the demo for a couple of years till I saw the game for cheap

I cant remember my lap time in one of those stock cars but I bet it wasnt better then 1:05
