Will you need ram?

Edit: If not, what ram is in your old system. Also will the system be used for gaming?

thank you,

one more question, is there any chance to play any new games like NFS Most Wanted or MoH Warfigher on high details??

sorry m8 but my old processor is athlon 64 x2 5200+, so is no point to change for another dual core.

thx

Depends how far you can stretch your budget really..

Here is an i3 build for a tiny bit over.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Sapphire HD 7750 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £83.99
1 x Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £83.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £81.98
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
Total : £279.95 (includes shipping : FREE).

Gets a bit more pricey when you add an i5 though.. if you really want quad core on that budget then your probably looking at the AMD range...

Could always be an option to go with an i3 for the time being and then upgrade at a later date...
bare in mind there isn't a great deal of games that make use of all 4 cores.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £137.99
1 x Sapphire HD 7750 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £83.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £81.98
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
Total : £333.95 (includes shipping : FREE).

Also if you want better graphical performance you need to be looking at a better card not the CPU. That said upgrading to the Ivy i3 will definetley help.

At the end of the day to max em you really want:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards w/ FARCRY3, Nexuiz & Sleeping Dogs PC Games £169.99
1 x Intel Core i3-3220 3.30GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £83.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £81.98
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
Total : £377.35 (includes shipping : £9.50).

EDIT: These dual cores are much better than the Athlons. Its not about the number of cores.

As Bacon said, its not about the number of cores...

I run an i3 with a 1GB 7850 in my mITX media centre, plays everything I throw at it on Ultra settings. Skyrim with textures, Metro 2033, BF3 (which IIRC is able to make use of 4 cores), Starcraft 2, Diablo 3. If thats anything to compare by.

Here is an i5 build, quad core as you wanted but you can only afford the 1GB version of the 7850.

YOUR BASKET
1 x HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (H785QN1G2M) w/ FARCRY3, Nexuiz & Sleeping Dogs PC Games £149.99
1 x Intel Core i5-3450 3.10GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £137.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £81.98
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9) £29.99
Total : £399.95 (includes shipping : FREE).

This is similar to Indie's build, better processor but B grade Motherboard.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i5-3470 3.20GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £149.99
1 x Sapphire HD 7850 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card w/ FARCRY3, Nexuiz & Sleeping Dogs PC Games £149.99
1 x **B Grade** Asus P8H77-M Intel H77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 MicroATX Motherboard £70
1 x Crucial Ballistix Elite 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (BLE2CP2G3D1608CE1TX0CEU) £29.99
Total : £411.36 (includes shipping : £9.50).

You will also have to pay for shipping on Indie's build, like mine, as you do not have 250 posts.

Don't be affraid of BGrade, they are fully functional products, just may have missing packaging or accessories. Most of which custom builders don't use anyways.
