A minority of people get motion sickness in games which can range from Headaches to Dizzy spells, vertigo and even throwing up. Some people can't even play 5mins of certain games before they have to lay down for hours just to recover. It can be contributed to Glasses, the way the brain works, an inner ear inbalance problem or if you suffer from migraines!. Myself I suffer from an inner ear inbalance, where by I cannot lay on my back and look straight up without feeling sick and migraines.
There are a number of game issues which could cause this
1. FOV
2. The swaying of a game screen, for some of us there is nothing worse than when you are attacking an enemy your player swings his arm causing the entire game screen to sway with it.
3. Headbob, games like stalker are bad for this as you walk forward the game screen bobs up and down constantly until you stop walking. Most of the time this can be disabled.
4. Run Zoom, Games like Borderlands have this horrible situation that when you run your entire game screen zooms forward. Some games are worse than others and is very difficult do disable.
5. Too dark, I can feel sick in a game if it's too dark and with all the motion of walking, tight fov and concentrating on a dark area can cause not just motion sickness but very bad headaches.

Slightly OT but hopefully this video (in two) parts will help people better understand why some users suffer from motion sickness while playing games with relatively narrow FOVs...
It's a bit long at a total of 16mins but it's the best explanation I've seen. Essentially, many FPS games have been designed with the "play it on your TV from the sofa" notion in mind where the narrow FOV will not affect even the most motion sickness prone users. Play the same game at desk where the monitor is much closer and that's where the narrow FOV will begin to cause problems for some people.
If a game supports FOV adjustment I usually set mine to 90 or 100 in order to avoid any ill effects, since my 2407WFP is only about 2.5 feet away on my desk.
