Sounds about right
They weren't bothered if they sold me a phone when I had problems with their ordering system so guess they sure as heck won't be bothered about repairing a phone. Quite apart from the fact I don't particularly like the looks of the new Moto Z, the folk online having issues with Motorola support means my current Moto X Style will probably be my last Motorola phone.
I've just picked one up for £449 from John Lewis but it came with a Moto 360 Sport for free...thankfully I had bought one and was still within my 30days return, so basically got £149 off this meaning all together £299.
Size wise it isn't too different to my S7 with a case on it which is surprising and it seems to run great and has a lovely screen. Feels great in the hand and first impressions of the camera are indeed positive.
Will see how it performs over the next couple of days as I'll certainly be giving the battery a hammering with Pokémon Go haha!!
I do worry about he future support for this considering it is essentially on the December Security Patch and their original release of Marshmallow. I suppose the hope would be that they do actually announce it will get Android N at some point once the final details are out there.

Well I've successfully bumped myself up to the EU Firmware and Marshmallow 6.0.1 
No rooting required, apart from the few seconds where you think "Is this going to fail?" it was all really simple and pain free.

Any news on the update to Android N for the Moto X Force? Searching online it seemed to be suggested for late 2016, but evidently that's not the case. Not down with rooting it.
A quick search shows some news stories reporting from the German twitter account that it's coming for the X Series in May.
