Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

Well i ended up getting this

for 20 quid not bad didn't want to spend a bomb.

I hope this link is allowed i don't think overclockers sell portable chargers.

I think it will give me a full day of heavy useage.

Im really happy with this phone money well spent thanks for recommending it.

I wait until its 50% charge because of battery recharge cycle to recharge it starting at 50 % battery.

I bought my moto g4 plus from amazon for around 185 quid.

I put in a micro sim three sim card and it works

You could ask the question on where ever your buying from or whatever,

I just wish the G4 and G4 plus had a magnetometer, I use my phone a lot for astronomy/maps stuff. It's a real deal breaker for me, which is annoying as I've loved my original Moto G.

I imagine the G4 won't be replaced until mid next year :(
 
Our G3 and my G4 have both kiled their SD cards. Anyone else had that. We are using them as memory not storage. Maybe thats it. Between them they have killed 3 cards.

I think my G4 might have a problem its randomly losting the SIM card. The SIM works fine in other phones.
 
Our youngest girl is running a Moto G 3rd gen and in the last week the white led in the speaker grill has come on and stayed on.

I've tried googling and plenty of places say this was a glitch due to restoring from a different handsets google account and it can be fixed by using this simple widget, but the widget has been pulled and i can't find the apk anywhere.

Has anybody else had this / found a fix? Or is it a hardware flag to tell me she's been throwing it across the room in a sulk?

Tried searching the thread but i didn't find anything.
 
Struggling trying to move apps to sd card on the moto 3rd gen for the mrs the 8GB internal is almost full now and sd card is not even full but still can't move anything else :(

Any tips?

Is adoptable storage enabled?
 
I couldn't get adoptable storage to work properly on my mums. I think I posted in this thread a while back. Gave up in the end, used it like a normal SD card.
 
Just flashed CM12.1 to my Moto g XT1032, was reasonably painless.

Definitely much snappier than with default OS on it (if it's possible for a 3 year old Moto G to feel snappy). To be honest I was hoping it would brick the device, would have been an excuse to upgrade :)

I might as well use it until the 2017 devices with 835 / QC4.0 come out now.

Bought my son a G4 which he's now had for 5 days. He loves the phone but it's now developed the 'ghost touch' issue, mainly with the notification pull down having a mind of it's own. This issue is when the phone isn't even in charge.

I bought it direct from Motorola online so have 14 days for a refund.

2 question, is there a fix for the ghost issue and, does the 14 day period start from when the order was made or when the phone was received (it makes a difference in my case).
 
I would be very surprised if it was from when the order was placed. That would mean if you pre-ordered an item, you'd have now time to try and then return.
 
Under The Consumer Rights Act 2015 you have 30 days to return for a refund if the product is faulty. I've returned 2 Moto G4s and got a refund (from Argos) without hassle for the same fault.
 
Bought a G4 for the missus as a Christmas present. Learnt to find out that it has turbo charging but the Samsung smart charger that came with my S6 doesn't work. See the official one costs £15. Is there any generic cheaper chargers available for the Moto G4?
