Motorola Moto G - new budget smartphone champion?

I have had the original Moto G, fantastic little phone, also a Dual Sim Moto G 2nd edition, it's an OK phone, anyway, I am now looking at the Dual Sim Moto G4, the one thing I am concerned about is the problem of not ringing (WhatsApp & Duo etc) when the magnetic flip cover is closed. Below is one of the many links referring to this problem.

Can anyone confirm that Motorola have cured this problem with the new Moto G4 ?

I'm currently eyeing the Motorola Moto G4 Plus 16GB SIM-Free Smartphone - Black (Single SIM) .

Upgrade phone since i'm fussy.

Edit just pulled the trigger the moto g4 plus will come tomorrow plus a case.

I wonder how you can find your video files on this?

I recorded a video now i want to upload it but cannot find it nor did it give me the option to share it on facebook or whatever.

Got any ideas?

I dont have that phone but is it not in the gallery? If not, use a file browser, find the DCIM folder and it may be in one of the subfolders.

Or install and use VLC and it will scan your device for videos.

Two things I miss on my G4 are a finger print sensor and if like dual SIM. That seems a lot more expensive than my base model.

Btw is there a mobile version of this forum?

Has anyone spotted any good deals on the G4 Plus at the moment?

I paid £184.99 off amazon for one, single sim 16gb version(mind you can always get a micro sd card to save some money unlike getting the 32gb version of this phone).

It takes like 30 minutes to charge 50% of the battery.

I cannot use my old phone anyways waiting for my sim card to come

Network is three and paying 23 quid a month for unlimited data 200 mins and unlimited text.

I also brought this August DVB-T305 - Portable Freeview HD TV Receiver for DVB-T and DVB-T2 - Micro USB TV Tuner for Tablets and Smartphones - USB Powered Android 4.1+ PVR

August DTA240 - High Gain Freeview HD TV Aerial - Portable Indoor/Outdoor Digital Antenna for USB TV Tuner / DVB-T Television / DAB Radio - With Magnetic Base to turn my smart phone into a portable tv which is handy so total cost of that is roughly 40 quid.

The dual sim version is showing up as £185 for me now; it was £200 a couple of weeks ago. Might get one by Christmas, or Black Friday deals, if it appears in it.

I was all set to buy a Moto g4 dual Sim, however I use a case on my phones, Genuine Motorola Flip case being the preferred option, however with these cases if the flip cover is in the normal closed position then this stops the phone ringing on WhatsApp & Duo etc.
So unless Motorola have fixed this, I think looking at Chinese phones is my preferred route.

I think its time to buy a portable charger :P.

I use mine and it lasts like 6-7 hours at most watching youtube and tv on the phone and streaming music off amazon music.

i get 5-10-13 mbps on three and sometimes its 20mbps http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/2347970361 .

Not bad i say since i have all you can eat data plan which is unlimited i mean whats the point of a high speed connection if you have data limits..?

I rather stick with three

ee is like 40-50 mbps as well as it being 20 mbps at the very least and in built up areas so yeah i know what three and ee is like because i have their sim cards.
