*** MOTOROLA RAZR ***

Very impressive benchmarks actually!

Hmmm that's similar specs to the rumoured specs of the new Nexus and the OS isn't optimised for GPU acceleration. How fast is the new Nexus going to be! o_O

The SGS2 and Nexus should get under 2000ms with the honeycomb, JIT optimised, browser.

Regarding the screen, unfortunately it doesn't look like it's Samsung sAMOLED panel. (LG maybe?)
The 's' or 'super' denotes that the AMOLED display is glue to the digitiser/glass for zero air gaps and minimal reflections.
You can clearly see the razr's screen has the traditional Motorola recessed screen/air gap with no anti glare coating? Or maybe it's just the flash? :p

The SGS II running 2.3.5 Samsung ROM gets 3252ms and in Rightware gets 55974. Just for comparison :p

62k on right ware for me, cba googling to find the other bench :p.

Edit: 65k when I don't have to keep selecting which browser I want to use during the test :p.

Im keeping an eye on this phone... specs seem very nice, even with the non-removeable battery, and even after the Milestone I said id never buy another Motorola. Cant wait for more hands-on info to pop up.

Seems this will be very similarly priced to the Galaxy Nexus.

So what's going for it? It's a bit more pocket-able, more premium look/feel. Possibly a better camera, micro SD slot.

Going against it, lower resolution, no ICS for 3-6 months OTA, non removable battery and no NFC.

Seems at first glance the GN has the slight edge IMO, expert reviews can't come soon enough!

If you don't mind getting version updates months after every other phone already has them with close to zero info coming from Motorola about pretty much anything it's a decent phone.

I root, so the point is moot.

Ahh, it seems im a poet, and I didnt even know it.

P.S. Besides, if you read my post properly I already said I had the Milestone and after that said I wouldnt buy another Motorola, so I know exactly what stock moto is like.

Can't believe a company owned by google and it wont be coming out with ICS at launch !

I don't think Google owns them yet and I doubt it would be good business practice for for them to favour Motorola- at least while the mobile market is still this fluid.

Definitely gonna go for this. Very happy with my bargain Atrix (£15/mo, free, 300min, unlim text & internet) :o

Are the Galaxy S2 specs much better than this? I'm looking at getting an Android phone to go along side my WP7 phone.

I was going to go for the S2, but this phone is just so sexy! I can't help but love this. Apart from the hardware specs, will this come with Motoblur? Or have they stopped shipping phones with that now? I hope so, as Motoblur would be quite a big deal breaker for me.

Also, I'm not bothered about rooting, and not all that fussed about updates been the first to arrive.

Thanks, Cas.
