*** MOTOROLA RAZR ***

I must be incredibly lucky or you the opposite then!

The only bad/drop situation I've had is when I dropped my iPhone 3G years ago, it hit my foot while I was walking and I managed to drop-kick it half way across a Tesco car park, not a mark on it... :p

It is the only time I have ever scratched one, but you don't have to be careless for it to happen.

I was just annoyed that you insinuated anyone who has a scratched screen must be careless.

Sorry then, but regardless of that I'd rather risk a minor scratch than degrade from the screen permanently with a protector. :(

Well unfortunately I work in an industrial environment and a screen protector though undesirable asthetically is preferable to a multitude of scratches. When my phone was scratched (unluckily or carelessly depending on which camp your in) I was sat in my office with the phone lying (possibly carelessly) beside my keyboard.

Either way, how about veering back on topic.... although since most people have gone Galaxy Nexus......

bars on a the wifi meter are not the best indication to wifi strength - different manufacturers have different calibrations.
Wifi Analayzer is a good app that shows db levels.

Equal results in WIFI analyser most of the time but SGS2 feels snappier on wifi. Generally when I have no bars the wife has one signal wise, so I oversimplified my signal strength description.

Anyone else who has this phone get an OTA update? There is talk of it in a few other forums but I think its only for the US version XT912?

Didn't receive any OTA, but I did install leaked OTA over on xda which adds some Motorola apps, different icons and upgrade to android 2.3.6.
