Only on ocuk could something so cutting edge and cool be hated upon.

Most of the info can be tailored anyway! Irl it's a bit faster as well.

Look later in the vid for sports mode acceleration!

I'm not hating on it, I think it's great.

My point is that they're using cutting-edge technology to just emulate mechanical instrumentation that's been around 100 years, in a conventional layout. Not moving the game on.

Yes, it's a bit more poncy and glitzy but then I've seen people do very clever things with standard analogue gauges that, in some instances, are prettier to look at.

I would have to disagree! The plasma screen display shows way more information than any normal gauge display and all eyeballing the driver instead of being on a screen in the middle of the dash, that includes all nav/media data as well!

This is the way things are heading of course and stuff like this will filter down. In general it has started already with quite a few cars using all digital instrument clusters.

I just love the analogue clock on the centre console though. So....retro, kind of goes nicely with the spitfire style air vents.

Yes, big Jag fan here.

You do realise that's on a dyno!

You can get the slowest of cars to look fast if you remove all the load and just "spin" the rollers!

True, does look handy through: http://youtu.be/Yr_qSSTqCa8

I love how some hillclimb cars seem so planted with little to no body roll. I find it quite alien to watch. Everything seems so direct. IRTBs make sexy noise too. Do want.

Too much change in one go and people (by and large) reject it without even giving it a chance.

If they'd completely revolutionised the cluster, I suspect a large portion of their target market (wealthy older gentlemen) would have been somewhat put off and driven to the nearest Mercedes dealership to buy an S Class :p

Cor, that copper did well!

Can't imagine the amount of concentration you'd have to have to keep that up. The commentary, whilst watching the other car, whilst watching other cars as well as driving down tiny alley ways and not smashing up the car.

I give him grade A-. He lost marks for not getting out of the car and battering the moron who could have easily killed someone, but i guess that's not his fault.

Hadn't spotted that, those roads are very familiar, bizarre seeing where you live on a video like that :D
