hes suggested that the slipstreaming of a lorry is generally a bad idea and would be classed as dangerous. Which I partly agree with although its not stopped my slipstreaming cars round Richmond park...

The thing is on a bike you have a load more escape options than a car if the lorry were to emergency break, and the bike will generally outbreak said car. If it were to go wrong its very unlikely that the lorry would even notice the bike hitting it...

You have to remember that the truck can't see you that close. Cyclist should abide by the same distance as cars IMO.
