Motors YouTube Videos

Doesn’t sound very tuneful in the video.

Edit - the noise is actually quite unbearable. Would be good on a track though.

I hope everyone and his channel will be ok and nobody did anything really silly. He is correct, a lot of us have been there.
I've often found him a bit of a tool tbh, but, having watched this, I'm of a completely different mindset.

Respect.

I just wish he'd get to the point. Some of his videos are 25 minutes long and to be honest they could be done in 5 if he was just a bit more concise.
The Truth about XYZ..... and you're 20 mins in and thinking I haven't heard anything about it yet cos you're rambling about something else!

I don't have much interest in USA cars from the 1970s and 1980s, but I stumbled onto a Youtube channel that I found interesting and which is mostly about that. Mostly the unusual variants, like this sports model of the Ford Pinto that genuinely was a sports car.

The Pinto was a disaster!
First - its fuel tank mounted behind the bumper with the bumper being more decorative results in the fuel tank rupturing and spilling when rear ended at LOW speed.
Second - it leaked fuel, leading to fires etc.

27 people died due to the issues directly. A fatality score of 0.85 in 100,000 units. That's lower than the average death rate but it was reported that it would have cost Ford $11 to resolve the leak issue, but chose against it to increase their profits. Ford ended up in court but eventually defended successfully.

5 min videos don't get the add revenue though.

I like him but the main problem is he has done so many videos that there is really nothing left for him to review and because it is all the same like everything in life it becomes boring so I barely watch anything unless it is something completely left field.

I find that with a lot of Youtubers these days though. Mighty Car Mods is most likely my favourite but I haven't watched one of their videos for nearly a year now because it just isn't original anymore. They had a good ten+ year run though which is very good considering most Youtubers barely make 2 or 3.

a lot of these now "top" youtubers love posting about what number they are trending at........ Mat Armstrong....... Mark Mccann.......

What this what number they are trending at? Tend to enjoy Mat’s videos as enjoy seeing cars been pulled apart and rebuilt though it’s not very detailed but a detailed video would probably be days long.

Kudos to the guy though he is making 100k plus per month in ad revenue alone, add in sponsorships and he is making life changing money now, so well done to him. :)

I think that sponsorship has caused a lot of YouTubers to talk like a cross between Blue Peter presenters and cheap Netflix documentary commentators. Some of the personality is getting lost to pull in more sponsor appeal which is making some stuff less entertaining for me.

People give him a lot of stick because they are jealous. Fair play to him he has made it work and he knows his audience. He seems like a genuine person at least on camera.

I much prefer Tasty Classics though. A bit like Matt Armstrong but dealing with 500 quid snotters. :D

Mat was at number 1 and I think Mark was on 4. It was posted on their insta stories. Mark has releaseed a video on how he got rich which is really interesting and open about his business ventures. I know Mat has got property etc but his big wongas are youtube now I guess.

Autoalex seems to have gone awol since the drama with Taylors E28 apparenty back on youtube in March lol
