All the convenience I think about when looking at cars with paddle shifters and it always comes back to not lose the manual gearbox.

They have a point on RT!
Not just for sports cars does this apply though but for every car out there. Well, every car with a nice manual gearbox that can be made to hustle or shift smoothly on tap.

The hifi point is so damn true and i had never looked at it that way.

IMO, im right, cars should be undiluted. lighter is better, AIDS were bad in the 80s and are still bad today, but the level of civility you have depends on your usage

IMO, someone who has a car like a Megane 225 where traction control and esp will not switch off over 15mph etc but thinks they have a driver's car is just a tourist.

Fuel cost isnt helping one bit though. Fuel costs can be so prohibitive that real enthusiasts are getting priced out of proper cars too, so as usual, were all doomed

So few people will understand this any further than "a car on fire". i could feel myself welling up a bit.

any idea how many were made?

TPFT FTW?

Not a youtube, but youll get over it

as for the Muira, still gutted

The porsche had a really bad reaction time, compared to the mclaren, so not a complately fair comparison, but the porsche still got slaughted nonetheless

Yeah, and too be fair, the owner of the MP4 (FiskeGTS is his forum name) posted this with the video:

After the first run he asked for a jump since he doesn't drag race much, then he sat at the line for 1.2 seconds after the green! I just couldn't watch him close enough to react that fast after he left, same deal on the next run and he just happens to cut a .1 when I was expecting another sit on green wait time....

since my times were always quicker I only had the cameras pointed one way....

lesson learned, never give a Turbo S the Jump, no matter what!

Still good fun to watch.

Money.

But in the case of that GTR in the video, the car was bought new, shipped to AMS in the USA, $100k kit installed and sent back to Russia, then the AMS guys have been backwards and forwards to Russia upgrading it and making it faster over the the last 6 months or so.

The guy in the UK that tuned mine is flown around the world almost every month to tune cars from Russia to the Middle East and back its just nuts.
