Look like he's maintaing a failry constant speed, his speedo read 150K when he looks at it, perhaps he speeded up by 10K or whatever.

Either way that car was shifting! Looked like Z06?

Must admit, the civic looks to have a superior corner entry speed and really shows up the characterless engine note of the Megane too, pretty noticable straight line speed difference mind! Shan't be swapping for one anytime soon though!
 
Remember the Civic has a full fat interior and 4 doors, I'd say there's not much between them but they're two very different cars market wise. It depends how they make you feel when driving them most of all, lap times are superficial to me.

I must say the dash in the Mini and Megane look rubbish IMO. Although the Hondas dash is only marginally better IMO (from experience of it)
 
Most definitely, no arguments from me that the civic is overall a much better car than the Megane, but like you I like cars by the way they feel more than absolute facts and figures, my old mk1 mr2 made me realise this the most. The Megane is such a hoot to drive too and you can't help but smile when you collapse into one of the seats and do up the harness just for a drive to Tesco, love the rarity factor too, I'd love to try a civic as a comparison but I doubt I'll ever have the opportunity to do so sadly.

You'l have the system that tapers down to 2.5" to fit the standard downpipe/centre section. If you're going to get a true 3" downpipe system, then it may well be worth you cutting the taper off and making it 3" like I did :)
