Sat here at my desk it's obvious what the Lambo car was going to do. It's down to group mentality, feeling like you have to keep up with the event. They're all caught up doing these dodgy overtakes trying to keep up with one another and this guy clearly got caught up in it and made a really bad judgement call. Needless and naive.

I used to drive with some Type-R based groups what feels like forever ago and any idiots were sent home and we disassociated with them. The main organiser was an ex armed response driver and with a few other sensible people they managed up to 30 cars on a days jolly just fine. I remember a story of a guy who binned his car on a group drive and a biker hit his stricken car resulting in life changing injuries. He ended up doing time and they brought up in court about his forums posts about the meeting etc: https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=210&t=442266&i=40 (User: Ten Pence Short). He posts some of his prison diary in the thread etc.

Maybe but I don't pull out to overtake without checking my mirrors or using my indicators either.
He was sat there ages with left wheels over the white line. Obvious he was ready to overtake. He positioned himself well to show he was planning to overtake.

Red Ferrari just clueless and impatience killed them both.

In my experience on events like this, you will always have a few clueless drivers who forget everything they know and drive like idiots. Group mentality, not least amongst slow traffic when you are trying to keep up. I've seen many crazy moves that I would not do, I am of an age where my risk appetite reduces by the day. Added complexity when driving abroad as you have a bigger blind spot due to the side you sit.

No sure why the Ferrari wanted to keep going here, right thing to do was pull in behind the Lambo and follow them around but he just kept going, silly move. Yea the Lambo should have accounted for that but seems blind spot was at play and also they he would expect the Ferrai to continue to follow. Rented Ferrari so suspect the driver was suffering a bit of red mist.

It is crazy how people can go and rent a RWD powerful car with no basic training even though this instance is just wreckless driving you see it happen all the time.

Feel sorry for the passenger but the driver deserved everything from that.

Too much testosterone and willy waving there.

Even crazier is that the day after you have passed your test aged 17 you can be driving one. One of the kids in my class got an XR3i to learn to drive in and when he past his test he got a Ferrari Testarossa.

This was kind of easy but also fun. I’m not as good on the Japanese stuff.

must have been done by a kid as I found that incredibly easy. I would also argue that some were more 70's than 80's (Countach) and putting the LS400 as an 80's car is stretching it. The LS400 actually wasn't on sale in the UK till 1990 and only sold in the states for 6 months of the 80's according to Wikipedia. Also being pedantic they put a picture of an Audi Sport Quattro and listed it as an Audi Quattro.
