He does have some amazing skill at the gymkhana type events but, judging by his performance in the WRC this year, he needs his course set up perfectly to do his "tricks" and is having a spot of bother in the "real world" of rallying :)

Didn't take WRC to show that, he has NEVER won Rally America, while his team mate Pastrana has won it 4 times in a row
Block has in fact DNFed more races that he has finished

This year it looks like Pastrana wont get it though
 
Block funds his own team doesn't he?

I can't imagine him having a drive otherwise, although now he's a face and a name things are a bit different.
 
he's another colin mcrash type character

The best drivers are the ones that can take an early lead, and drive at 9 or 8 tenths to preserve the lead. Thats the sort of driver that wins multiple titles.

Block can only drive at ten tenths and is always crashing. Just like colin. Thats why he makes such a good stunt driver in videos like this, and why he has more DNFs than finishes.
 
hes nothing special either look at some of those japanese drifters who drift in sync with another car like 1ft away from them......
